Same day headshots? No problem!

Last week I had the honour of photographing actress, Lola Jenkins. Lola is represented by The Hunt Academy For Young Actors. Lola was in-between shooting on an exciting new BBC TV series production for the small screen which will air at Christmas 2027 and where she plays a significant role. As with all the clients represented by HAYA, Lola was a professional from start to finish, being directed by me with consumate ease. Her agent wanted looks captured during the session that reflected the character that she is playing for this new series; cerebral and pensive yet strong in character. We focused on capturing these but also managed to capture lighter looks and big smiles given that Lola is 17 years old. 

This particular job was memorable given the quick turnaround from meeting the client to her having her chosen retouched images. 

The session was at 11am. By 3pm the online gallery of images was sent and by 5:30pm, Lola and her agent had chosen 5 images. By 8pm, the subtly retouched and enhanced images were emailed to Lola and needless to say, were soon after uploaded to her Spotlight profile. Same day headshots nailed!

It is unusual to have this fast a turnaround as agents are rightly busy focusing on getting their clients work but everything gelled seamlessly for this session. Having said that, this is not the quickest turnaround. That honour goes to a session some years ago with a 6 hour turnaround which will likely never be beaten!
